Nowadays, there are more and more people that are finding use for trailers. There are a few different types, and if you’re trying to determine between an open trailer or an enclosed one, here are a few facts about each.
Enclosed trailers are what you see when people haul cars, landscaping equipment or even horses. With open trailers these are what people use for towing smaller things like maybe furniture. They are the half trailers that you see for residential use more so.
Enclosed trailers are help keep things protected from weather and this seems to be more preferred when hauling cars or ATVs. Items that people don’t want being exposed are typically placed in enclosed trailers. These are often preferred since they are safer and sturdier as well.
Open trailers are great if you’re on a budget but still need a trailer. These are often smaller and can be towed by a car whereas enclosed trailers should be towed with a truck or larger car.
Choosing the one that is best suited for your needs can vary based on what you plan on hauling. You can look around to see the different choices available, and determine what you are hauling before buying a trailer.
